Preparing: Leave for boat

I am preparing to leave for the boat.  SAM has had it for a while but I still have the desire and like living in the small space where everything has to be neatened up immediately after messing it up.  A boat like ours requires neatness.  It also requires everything to be put back in the same place.  While small by house standards, a boat has many place to put “things” and most assurdly they will get lost.  Even when you put them in exactly the correct place they still get lost.

In a few weeks the season will be over and the winter gales will commence.  There will be time enough to live inside the box we call home.  The weekend was great as Andy & Vera were here with Kristen and even Jessica came home for the occasion.  Great times.  Oh yes, Martha was here too and I enjoy talking with her.  We will go down to see her this winter in Florida: Probably twice – once before Christmas and once after.  However, we need to be back to prepare the boat for the next season by at least mid-February.
